Well it's been a while since i was on here last but we can say we are officially POTTY TRAINED!! YAY
So we bought Kailyn a potty chair after she turned 1 i think she was about 13 or 14 months old. I told Tim she really needs to start potty training asap. So we wanted to invest in one that she would like or in little girl terms a "pretty one" well the thing scares her to death. it plays music when she pee's it's kinda like when i go somewhere that has the toilets that flush automatically if that thing catches me a certain time it scares me too.
She wants nothing to do with this toilet, we will set in there hours at a time. She throws a massive fit every time. I am out of ideas i have no clue what else to do. I have let her run around the house in big girl panties and that doesn't work i would ask her every few minutes if she had to potty and i always get "the look" and a NO MOM... Gees.. <-- her words mind you she is 2. Times that she has went we make it a huge deal we dance around and sing make it seem like she had concord the biggest thing in the world.
So this was today's attempt 03/09/2011 and each time in the past that she has went potty she gets a special treat. We bought a bag of dumb dumbs and she gets those need less to say she hasn't had many of them. Only when she "feels like it" <-- again her words. well she went and so she got a treat. she went pee pee in the potty 8 times today but of course she had 2 accidents but she has done a
amazing today.... I'm a proud momma..
This is today's attempt 03/10/2011 Kailyn didn't wake up until 9am, the first thing she did was take off her diaper and pulled her potty into the living room. No good morning mommy or " i hungry" . Later we went and picked sissy up from school and went by McDonalds and went by the bank i put a diaper on her so that she wouldn't have a accident came home and she again took her pants and diaper off walked over to her potty and went PEE PEE... She has went in her potty 11 times today she is doing a AMAZING job with this and she actually wants to do it... Proud Mommy..
